摘要 PURPOSE: A navigation system and a path search method are provided to calculate a time required for a vehicle to travel and search a route using time slot sector information when the route is selected and store section time slot average velocity in a database when the vehicle runs. CONSTITUTION: A navigation system includes a section speed database(6), a map database(5), and a controller(1). The section speed database stores the section time slot average velocity. The map database stores map data. The controller periodically receives a car speed and current time from a GPS(Global Positioning System) module, calculates the section time slot average velocity, and stores it. When a destination is inputted in a learning path mode, the overall route is constituted with sections having short turnaround time using the section time slot average velocity and matched to the map data.
