PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained release soil disease control agent, capable of being added to soil by soil-mixing treatment or the like, having low plant growth-inhibiting activities, and capable of effectively controlling hardly controllable soilborne diseases such as bacterial wilt disease and actinomycosis. SOLUTION: The granular sustained release soil disease control agent is obtained by adding an aqueous solution of an adhesive compound such as an ethylene-vinyl acetate resin emulsion to a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein, R is 1-6C alkyl or hydrogen; and n is a number of substituted hydroxy groups, and an integer of 2-5) such as ethyl gallate, kneading the resultant mixture by a mortar, adding inorganic fine particles such as silica thereto, kneading the resultant mixture, drying the kneaded product and pulverizing the dried product on the mortar.
