PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor microphone unit and a capacitor microphone which facilitate control of acoustic resistance. SOLUTION: In the capacitor microphone unit, a diaphragm 13, a fixed electrode 15 which is arranged to face the diaphragm 13 with a gap and constitutes a capacitor with the diaphragm 13, an insulating base 16 disposed on the rear side of the fixed electrode 15 and supporting the fixed electrode, and a ring-shaped acoustic resistance material 18 disposed on the front side of the insulating seat 16 are incorporated in a unit casing 11. Skin layers 18a and 18b are formed on the surface of at least one of the front and rear sides of the acoustic resistance material 18, and the density of the skin layers 18a and 18d is higher than that inside the acoustic resistance material 18.
