<p>PURPOSE:To reduce exhaust amount of NH3 as well as NOx, HC and CO in an air fuel ratio control device using-catalytic converter rhodium. CONSTITUTION:Mixed air in a territory leaner than a window of catalytic converter rhodium F is supplied to an engine A by a fuel supply means B. Fuel to be supplied for actuation of catalytic converter rhodium F is additionally supplied to the inside of an exhaust passage D by a second fuel supply means G. The mixed air is in the lean state and H2 is not generated, and accordingly, NH3 is not formed. An air fuel ratio of an exhaust air passing through catalytic converter rhodium can be brought close to the window of catalytic converter rhodium by the fuel additionally supplied or matched to it, and purification of NOx, HC and CO can be carried out without difficulty.</p> |
