<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a situation in which images are not displayed at all on a screen because pre-reading of images cannot catch up if page turning is performed during the image display of a thumbnail screen or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A display control apparatus controlling to assign a plurality of images to one page to make a display switches a page displayed according to a user' operation to the other page. The display control apparatus performs pre-reading of reading images displayed outside the page on display, from a device storing the images when the page is displayed, and storing them temporarily in a storage means.
