<p>The invention discloses a cellobiose molecule, isolated from plants Capsicum Chinense and Allium Neapolitanum, which successfully activates apoptosis of various kinds of cancer cells and acts citotoxically at high concentrations, whereas it does not damage healthy and immobilised cells to a high degree at the same time. The molecule triggers necrosis of cancer cells via the intrinsic apoptotic pathway, and a successful development and research in the said molecule as a new potential medicine for treatment of various forms of cancer may be strongly presumed, when considering existing oncology medicines, which are routinely applied for treatment of cancer and have a similar structure than the said invention molecule.</p> |
