PURPOSE: A metadata management device and method of an asymmetric cluster file system is provided to embody the high speed search of the metadata by searching the metadata from the high-frequency metadata for the first time. CONSTITUTION: A metadata selector(101) selects the data as the high frequency metadata among the metadata for access to the data based on the search frequency. A temporary metadata storage(103) temporarily stores the high frequency metadata. When the metadata is searched, a metadata search part(100) searches the high frequency metadata for the first time and performs the search among all metadata. |
