PURPOSE: An apparatus for machining the tooth flank of a labyrinth packing is provided to easily perform a machining work by controlling cutting speed depending on machining speed. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for machining the tooth flank of a labyrinth packing comprises fixing vises(2), a stopper(3), a horizontal swinging tool(4), and longitudinal, vertical, and horizontal transfer tools, and a machining cutter tool. The fixing vises are installed in a frame and fix a packing(9). The stopper is installed between the fixing vises at the rear of the packing and supports the rear of the packing. The horizontal swinging tool is installed on the frame. The longitudinal transfer tool is installed on the top of the horizontal swinging tool. The vertical transfer tool is elevated along the longitudinal transfer tool. The horizontal transfer tool is installed in one side of the vertical transfer tool. The machining cutter tool simultaneously machines both sides of the tooth flank of the packing. |
