PURPOSE: A standby power control apparatus and method are provided to automatically seclude the power source of an electronic device or a device group which is driven by a standby power source for a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION: A central control unit(110) monitors one load power among a plurality of electronic devices(120,130,140,150,160,170,180,190). The central control unit electrically connects or secludes one electronic device to/from a power line with reference to a monitoring result and each profile information of the electronic device. In case the load power is sustained over a reference time in a standby mode, the central control unit secludes or connects the one electronic device from/to the power line.
