<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey and eject paper without causing jamming in a paper processing device, even if paper size designated by a user is different from actual paper size when manually feeding the paper. <P>SOLUTION: When manually feeding the paper, paper length about which a device of a preceding stage informs shows the longest one in paper passage/ejection feasible length in the paper processing device, and first jamming detection start timing by an failure detection means is set to timing in which the paper is ejected from the device to which the paper is manually fed. The failure detection means starts second jamming detection processing based on paper detection timing of a paper position detection means located on the most upstream side in a paper conveying direction, and performs the second jamming detection processing with the paper length which is the longest one in the paper passage/ejection feasible length in the paper processing device as reference (steps S120 to S125, and S132). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
