PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently treating hexavalent chromium-containing liquid, and a reduction adsorbent of hexavalent chromium. SOLUTION: A particulate adsorbent where a graft chain is introduced into a particulate substrate containing a polysaccharide as a main component and the graft chain is bonded with an aminopolycarboxylic acid group is brought into contact with the hexavalent chromium-containing liquid.
