PURPOSE: A warning display device and method using additional warning symbols are provided to allow a user to immediately and accurately perceive warning on a display device with a limited display area by selectively displaying a main screen and a detail screen. CONSTITUTION: A warning display device using additional warning symbols comprises a warning symbol display part(610), a warning display control part(620), and a user interface part(630). The warning symbol display part indicates a first warning symbol and a second warning symbol in the fixed positions, wherein the first and second warning symbols are classified according to the priority determined by the warning display control part. The warning display control part displays according to the generation of warning corresponding to the first and second warning symbols and switches a main screen and a detail screen of the warning symbol display part. The user interface receives user input about the warning symbols.
