An active agent delivery composition is provided that allows topical delivery of pharmaceutical/cosmetic active agents such as vitamin A and its derivatives. A polyhalogenic vehicle, for example methoxynonafluorobutane or ethoxynonafluorobutane serves as a coupler for the said active agent and a silicone carrier so as to allow solubilization of active agents not normally miscible in silicones and providing a moisture maintaining composition. The composition may be used in a process to treat skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles, dryness, perspiration or cancer. |
