Shroud or section of shroud in two parts for a vane diffuser of an axial compressor

The shroud (8) has curved elements provided with notches that correspond to portions of a contour of an end of vanes (4). The curved elements are arranged axially against each other, so as to confine the ends of the vanes in corresponding pairs of notches. An assembly edge in a plane is perpendicular to a main axis of a compressor and adapted to be in a mutual contact during assembly of the curved elements in a direction corresponding to a flow direction via the compressor. A groove is placed along a curved direction of the assembly edge. The shroud is made of a composite material.
