<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted display capable of displaying relevant information such as explanation of a word in a user's view direction. <P>SOLUTION: The head-mounted display includes: an image generation unit 52 that is mounted on a head region of the user and causes the user to visually recognize an image; an imaging means 53 for taking an image in the user's view direction to generate taken-image data; a word extraction means 12b for extracting a word from the taken-image data; an extracted word image generation means 12d for generating a highlighted image for highlighting the periphery of a position where the word is superimposed on the extracted word; a word selection means 12e for selecting one or more words from the highlighted words by input operation of the user; a relevant information acquisition means 12f for acquiring relevant information on the selected word; and a relevant information arrangement means 12g for generating relevant information image data arranged in a display area where the image generation unit 52 displays the relevant information and outputting the data to the image generation unit 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
