<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of supplying an accurate current without being affected by variations, even when a signal current is small in a transistor which supplies a current to an EL pixel. <P>SOLUTION: When an effect of variations in current characteristics of a transistor is reduced by input of a signal current to the transistor of a pixel, a potential on wiring is detected by using a precharge circuit. When there is a difference between a predetermined potential and the potential on the wiring, charges are supplied to the wiring to perform rapid charging, and then precharging is performed. After the potential on the wiring has reached the predetermined potential, the supplying of charges is stopped to supply only the signal current. Thus, the precharging is performed only for a period until the potential on the wiring reaches the predetermined potential, thereby the precharging is performed only for an appropriate period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
