PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for operating on-board equipment wherein an occupant of a vehicle easily makes a terminal read a bar code, thereby can operate the on-board equipment. SOLUTION: The system for operating the on-board equipment 100 has: a terminal 11 including a reading means 23 of operation information stored in a storage means 22; and the on-board equipment 20 having a communication device 12 for receiving an operation signal from the terminal 11 and a control device 13 for controlling equipment 14 based on the operation signal, wherein the terminal 11 which have read the operation information of the on-board equipment 20 from the storage means 22 displayed or embedded in a cabin sends the operation signal generated based on a received operation and the operation information to the communication device 12.
