PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and an application control method thereof are provided to effectively control the operation of a corresponding application without screen switching with a control window displayed on each side of a 3D polyhedron. CONSTITUTION: A control unit runs a plurality of applications including a first application. According to the control of the control unit, a display unit displays a 3D polyhedron(510) which displays each control window of at least one application except the first application out of the plurality of applications on a corresponding surface while displaying the execution screen of the first application. The control unit controls the execution of application corresponding to a first control window(511) according to a control signal inputted with the first control window displayed on the first side of the 3D polyhedron.
