<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for connecting an optical waveguide cable to an unmanned underwater vehicle and an unmanned underwater vehicle, reducing the cost of mission. <P>SOLUTION: This device includes: a connecting cable 8; and the optical waveguide cable 3 and connecting elements 11, 12 for the unmanned underwater vehicle 1 provided at the respective ends 9, 10 of the connecting cable 8.
