PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an effective use of materials and contribute to the volume reduction of radioactive waste by deactivating the radioactive waste, and to decrease secondary environmental load with agents used for treatments. SOLUTION: A member to which uranium or an uranium compound is attached is brought into contact with ionic liquid (Tetrapentylammonium thiocyanate) in which HSCN is used as anion, to dissolve uranium or the uranium compound into the ionic liquid, and then back extraction of uranium is performed from the dissolved liquid, to thereby recover uranium.
