A tyre cutting apparatus 30 includes a body member 32 defining a mounting formation 34 for mounting to a support structure. A cutting assembly 46 is supported by the body member 32. The cutting assembly 46 comprises a control member 52 and a cutting unit 53, for cutting the tyre. The control member 52 effects positional variation of the cutting unit 53 relative to the body member 32.
