PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a P450 protein having deoxynivalenol and nivalenol decomposing activity and a gene encoding the protein.

SOLUTION: There are disclosed: a deoxynivalenol and/or nivalenol decomposing enzyme protein having an amino acid sequence comprising a specific amino acid sequence or an amino acid sequence in which one or more amino acids in the specific amino acid sequence are deleted, substituted or added and encoding an amino acid sequence having deoxynivalenol and/or nivalenol decomposing activity; and a deoxynivalenol and/or nivalenol decomposing enzyme gene including a specific base sequence or a base sequence in which one or more bases in the specific base sequence are deleted, substituted or added.
