PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique maintaining a long period stability of optical characteristics of a built-in optical fiber between a fusion reinforcing part and a ferrule, while facilitating fusion connection with an optical fiber extending from an optical transmitter terminal and an optical fiber extending from the ferrule to a rear side, when assembling an optical connector on the terminal of an optical transmitter which is an optical fiber cord or an optical fiber cable. SOLUTION: The optical transmitter 1 is provided, which inserts and stores the ferrule 40A with the fusion reinforcing part integrally forming the fusion reinforcing part 20 covering a fusion connection part 3 with an optical fiber 43 of the side of the ferrule 40 and an optical fiber 2a of the side of the optical fiber cord 2 with a reinforcing tube 21 and a resin 22 of its inside on the ferrule 40 in a desired direction of a direction around an axial line on a housing 30 by a front end key 66 of a slider 60 horizontally movably stored to the sleeve-like housing 30.
