<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera allowing a user to easily image a desired image without adjusting a setting parameter of the camera. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic camera 100 receives sample image data designated in advance by a user, or image data (based on the reference of the user) imaged by an image capturing part 104 to extract feature information therefrom. A feature extraction part 106 extracts two pieces of information such as feature information obtained by extracting setting data in imaging from an Exif part of the image data, and feature information obtained by extracting information such as a contour feature, hue feature, or arrangement by analyzing the image data. An imaging parameter setting part 107 creates an imaging parameter for setting an imaging condition based on the feature information extracted by the feature extraction part 106.
