A method for treating premenstrual syndrome in adolescent girls provides for oral use of herbal species, namely the tincture prepared from the root of the valerian, the leaves of the peppermint, the inflorescence of the chamomile after the meals in the morning and in the evening for two months and the herbal tea prepared from the root of the ginger after the meals in the morning and in the afternoon for 14 days prior to the beginning of menstruation for three menstrual cycles.
