DISPLAY DEVICE AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A display device and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce a driving voltage by generating the driving voltage based on image data through an automatic current limiting process. CONSTITUTION: A panel(10) includes a plurality of pixel circuits including light emitting elements. The light emitting elements are in connection with a first voltage and a second voltage. A controlling part subtracts image data in one frame unit. The controlling part outputs a controlling signal and data signal such that an image, based on the subtracted image data, is displayed on the panel. A voltage difference setting part(50) detects the highest value of subtracted image data. A power supplying part(60) generates the first voltage and the second voltage and outputs the voltages to the panel.
