<p>The device has a ring (1) made of aluminum. A conical peripheral profile (10) of the ring forms an angle (theta) with respect to a radial plane (P) of the ring. Another ring (2) is made of invar. Another conical peripheral profile (20) of the latter ring forms same angle with respect to the radial plane of the latter ring. The former peripheral profile cooperates with the latter peripheral profile such that the radial expansion or contraction of the rings is induced by an axial movement of the former ring with respect to the latter ring by sliding of the former profile on the latter profile. An independent claim is also included for an optical lens comprising a barrel.</p>
