PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reception processing of electronic mail information in the middle of multiple starts of BG (BackGround) reception disabled applications. SOLUTION: A communication device includes: a control part executing a first application, a second application, or a third application; and a communication part permitting background reception of a mail when the control part executes the third application, and holding the background reception of the mail when the control part executes the first application or the second application. The control part makes the communication part start the background reception of the mail when starting the third application immediately after an end or suspension of the first application, and makes the communication part maintain the holding of the background reception of the mail when starting the second application immediately after the end or the suspension of the first application.
