PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to supply to a terminal user the various kinds of information on the object in a camera preview image. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen displays a camera preview image, and a location information module(115) obtains the information on the current position of a terminal. A control unit(180) displays an indicator on the camera preview image to notify the existence of a preregistered other party on the camera preview image based on the current position of the terminal. The control unit displays the indicator of the other part on the camera preview image.
