PURPOSE: A food waste disposer and a method for disposing food waste using the same are provided to predict the weight and the kinds of the food waste by measuring the compressive force required for compressing the food waste. CONSTITUTION: A food waste disposer(100) includes a food waste liquid filtering part(150) and a drying furnace(200). The food waste liquid filtering part filters food waste liquid from food waste. The drying furnace includes a weight sensor measuring the weight of the food waste. The food waste without the food waste liquid is introduced into the drying furnace. According to the weight sensor, the controlling variable of the food waste disposer is determined. According to the determined controlling variable, the food waste is disposed.
