<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carboxy group-containing resin and a carboxy group-containing resin composition excellent in reliability of a cured film because of no halogen, and a cured product of the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The carboxy group-containing resin (E) is obtained by reacting secondary alcoholic hydroxy groups in a reaction product of a compound (A) having two alicyclic epoxy skeleton structures in one molecule and a compound (B) having two phenolic hydroxy groups in one molecule or a dibasic acid (C) having two carboxy groups in one molecule with a polybasic acid anhydride (D). A carboxy group-containing photosensitive resin (F) is obtained by introducing an unsaturated group into the carboxy group-containing resin (E). The carboxy group-containing resin composition contains the carboxy group-containing resin (E) and/or the carboxy group-containing photosensitive resin (F).
