PURPOSE: A USB keyboard for automatic brightness control is provided to reduce power consumption by controlling light based on an optical sensor according to the quantity of surrounding light. CONSTITUTION: An LED(Light Emitting Diode) lighting(5) is installed in the upper end of a keyboard. An optical sensor(6) is installed in the upper end of the keyboard. The LED lighting is darkly controlled according to the quantity of the light which the optical sensor senses. If the quantity of surrounding light is dark, the LED lightning is controlled according to the quantity of the light that is sensed by the optical sensor.
