Glass-ceramic, and its production and use

Glass ceramic comprises a continuous glass phase and a crystal phase made from tetragonal leucite. The glass phase is free from tears and the crystal phase made from leucite crystals is homogeneously distributed in the glass phase. The crystal phase has a grain size distribution of 5-70 % of a first group of crystals having a grain size of 1 microm and 30-95 % of a second group of crystals having a grain size of at least 1 microm.
