PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical drive type battery serve as an alternative power supply source for a computer by electrically connecting the optical drive type battery to a conventional optical drive connection port without adding a connection port. SOLUTION: The computer can be electrically connected to an optical drive or the optical drive type battery, and includes a first optical drive connection port, a power switching circuit, and a first power source. The first optical drive connection port includes an optical drive information terminal unit, a battery information terminal unit, and a power supply/requisition terminal unit. The power switching circuit is electrically connected to the first optical drive connection port. The first power source is electrically connected to the power switching circuit and supplies first power to the optical drive through the power switching circuit when the computer is electrically connected to the optical drive.
