PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal in which power consumption is reduced, and also to provide a TV tuner control program and method. SOLUTION: A mobile communication terminal 10 has a TV tuner 32 and implements a telephone function, a TV viewing function and the like. In the state where the TV viewing function is being implemented, the mobile communication terminal 10 also implements a time shift function. While the time shift function is being set, therefore, a processor 20 temporarily stores output of the TV tuner 32 in a temporary recording buffer (210) in response to call arrival during TV viewing. The time shift function can also be invalidated so as not to be implemented by a user. While the time shift function is invalidated, the processor 20 then powers off the TV tuner in response to call termination during TV viewing. According to the present invention, the time shift function is utilized and in the mobile communication terminal 10 where the time shift function is invalidated, power consumption is reduced.
