PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overflow structure 1 of a vertical gutter, which can be set even if there is a small height difference between the floor face 5 of a flat roof, a balcony or an eave and the indoor floor face, can be also set to an existing facility quite simply and can drain water even when a rainwater catch basin 9 is flooded with water. SOLUTION: The overflow structure 1 is provided to the vertical gutter 8 allowing water to drop from the flat roof, balcony or eave of a building. A branch pipe 15a draining water outside the vertical gutter 8 is provided at a position lower than at least the roof floor of the vertical gutter 8 or the lowest position of the balcony and a position higher than an expected water flood level.
