<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which minimizes an image defect caused by color development failure due to the intrusion of a foreign substance between a thermal head and the thermal recording material, also minimizes a surface imperfection caused by the fouling of the thermal head and the generation of streaks caused by trapped foreign substances. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal recording material includes an undercoat layer with a dynamic microhardness of not more than 5.0 mN at 25°C and a thermal color developing layer containing an electron donative dye precursor and an electron receptive compound which makes the electron donative dye precursor develop a color during heating, formed in that order from the support side, on the support with a hardness of not less than 40 by Type D of JIS K6253 (1997). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
