A movable rail for the curtain on a curtain sided truck allowing for full access to the side of the truck

A curtain-sided vehicle system, such as a curtain-sided truck or trailer, having an opening side is disclosed. The curtain can be entirely contained on to a moving rail and can be translated away from the back of the cargo space using a parallelogram linkage. The drawing is a partial cut-away view from above the vehicle looking down. This mechanism enables the curtain to be pulled beyond that one end of the rail, onto the rail extension, for enabling access to the interior of the cargo space substantially free from obstruction by the side curtain.
