PURPOSE: A water saving type faucet is provided to save tap water and to make overall use thereof very convenient. CONSTITUTION: A water saving type faucet is equipped with a faucet opening/closing unit(20) which discharges tap water to the faucet according to the operation of a water volume control valve. The faucet opening/closing unit is equipped with: an operating member(30) which is hinge-coupled with a bracket in order to pivot through the pushing operation by a foot; and an activating member(25) which is combined with the front of the operating member and is hinge-coupled with the bracket.
