PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly determine a failure in a temperature sensor. SOLUTION: When a rapid change in a detection temperature Tms is determined based on a detection temperature differenceΔTms of the temperature sensor for detecting a motor temperature, a process temperature Tmp is set as a temperature changed toward the detection temperature Tms at a predetermined rateΔTmp larger than the maximum increase rateΔTmh and the maximum decrease rateΔTml of the motor temperature. Until a predetermined time t1ref is elapsed after the rapid change of the detection temperature Tms is determined, it determines that the failure occurs in the temperature sensor when a state that an absolute value of a detection process temperature differenceΔTmsp between the detection temperature Tms and the process temperature Tmp is a predetermined difference Tmref or more continues.
