The vehicle has an active vibration damper attached to a vehicle body and controlled under evaluation of a vehicle body vibration detecting sensor. An oscillatory damping mass of the vibration damper is displaceable by electrically generated force against spring force in the vibration, where the mass of the oscillatory damping mass lies between 0.5 kg to 6 kg. The vibration damper is symmetrically arranged in the vehicle. The sensor is designed for detection of road surface induced vehicle body vibration.
