PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust resonance characteristics of a resonance circuit without externally requiring any other device (such as a reader/writer device or a reference card of a non-contact IC card) in a near field radio communication apparatus including a reader/writer function unit and a non-contact IC card function unit.

SOLUTION: A short-range radio communication apparatus includes: a first resonance circuit R1 including a first antenna A1; a reader/writer function unit E1 which generates an AC signal Sac of prescribed output in response to a prescribed start signal Son and supplies the generated AC signal to the first resonance circuit R1; a second resonance circuit R2 which includes a second antenna A2 and tunes to the first resonance circuit R1 via electromagnetic induction between the first antenna A1 and the second antenna A2; a non-contact IC card function unit E2 which generates prescribed electrical information Si by tuning of the second resonance circuit R2; and a resonance circuit adjusting unit E3 which adjusts a resonance characteristics of the first resonance circuit R1 or the second resonance circuit R2 on the basis of the prescribed electrical information Si generated in the non-contact IC card function unit E2.
