<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit power in a non-contact manner in a compact apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission system 81 is constituted of a power transmission device 91 and a power receiving device 92. The power transmission device 91 is constituted of a unit 101 and a unit 102 which can be separated from each other. The unit 101 includes an oscillation circuit 121 and a power transmission coil 122. The unit 102 includes a power transmission side resonance circuit 131. The power receiving device 92 is constituted of a unit 103 and a unit 104 which can be separated from each other. The unit 103 includes a power receiving side resonance circuit 151. The unit 104 includes a power receiving coil 171. The power transmission side resonance circuit 131 generates a vibration electromagnetic field of a predetermined resonance frequency by induction of a vibration electromagnetic field generated by an alternate current flowing to the power transmission coil 122. By this, power is transmitted to the power receiving device 92 based on non-contact power transmission using magnetic resonance.
