PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for manufacturing an axle, which enhances the quality of a welding part and yield. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the axle includes a first welding process for welding abutting parts 5a and 5b by a welding torch 31b based on a prescribed welding condition, a measuring process for measuring a welding current value supplied from a welding machine 33 to the welding torch 31 by a current measuring part 34 during the execution of the first welding process, and a decision process for calculating the difference between a waveform pattern formed by performing moving average processing for the welding current value measured in the measuring process and a waveform pattern formed by performing the moving average processing for a reference welding current value to decide the propriety of the welding condition in the first welding process based on the comparison of the difference with a prescribed threshold.
