PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing a novel 2-phenyl-benzimidazole or 2-phenyl-benzoxazole derivative is provided to be used as an agent for preventing or treating hepatitis C virus. CONSTITUTION: A novel 2-phenyl-benzimidazole or 2-phenyl-benzoxazole derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. The 2-phenyl-benzimidazole or 2-phenyl-benzoxazole derivative is prepared by coupling a compound of chemical formula 2 and a compound of chemical formula 3 under the presence of a solvent. The solvent is dimethylformamide or methylene chloride. A pharmaceutical composition for anti-virus contains the 2-phenyl-benzimidazole or 2-phenyl-benzoxazole derivative or pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an active ingredient.
