摘要 PURPOSE: A method for preparing (R)- or (S)-4-chlorophenyl-2-pyridine methanol is provided to ensure high yield and economic benefit. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing 4-chloforophenyl-2-pyrimidine methanol of optical activity comprises: a step of reacting an optical resolver of D-p-toluyltartaric acid or dibenzoyltartaric acid of optical activity with (RS)-4-chloforphenyl-2-pyridine methanole under the presence of an organic solvent to prepare a partial stereo isomer; a step of crystallizing the partial stereo isomer with an organic solvent to improve optical purity; and a step of decomposing the partial stereo isomer under the presence of base to obtain (R)- or (S)-4-chlorophenyl-2-pyridine methanol. The organic solvent is ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, or acetonitrile.
