PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve downsizing and high efficiency by using an inexpensive magnet (permanent magnet) in an axial gap motor in which rotors are disposed on both end faces of a stator. SOLUTION: One stator 4 is disposed between two rotors 3a, 3b disposed in an axial direction of a motor shaft 2. A magnet, which generates a field in the same direction as that of a magnetic field by excitation of a coil 8, is disposed in a magnetic path between magnetic path formation members 5 for connecting the stator 4, the rotors 3a, 3b, and an area between the rotor 3a, 3b, thus preventing demagnetization of the magnet and utilizing the field of the magnet to increase motor torque.
