PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management apparatus, a data management method and a data management program for automatically associating a proper word with related data. SOLUTION: An association means 38 associates an infrequently-appearing word whose association frequency is lower than a predetermined threshold, e.g. five, in words extracted from document data by a word extraction means 34, with image data (related data) related to the document data. The infrequently-appearing word whose association frequency does not exceeds five is used as the word associated with the image data, so that a proper word can be associated with the image data as a mark automatically, i.e. without requiring any operation by a user.
