摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of performing detoxification treatment of asbestos-containing waste material through the use of fluoroborate ion-containing waste acid. SOLUTION: In the method of performing detoxification treatment of asbestos-containing waste material, the fluoroborate ion is decomposed by adding an aluminum compound to the waste acid containing the fluoride ion and fluoroborate ion to cause reaction between the aluminum compound and the waste acid, mineral acid is added to the solution obtained by the dissolution of the fluoroborate ion so as to allow pH to be one or less thereby to prepare asbestos detoxification treatment aqueous solution, then the treatment aqueous solution is brought into contact with the asbestos-containing waste material and also an ultrasonic vibration is applied thereby to decompose and detoxify asbestos.
