PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for noise absorber, which reduces breakage of a hinge part, and to provide a noise absorber. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the case for the noise absorber 2 and the noise absorber. The case for the noise absorber includes a first case 3 and a second case 4 holding a core, and the hinge part 5 to which the first case 3 and second case 4 are connected. The first case 3 and second case 4 include a first wall part 31 having a first side edge 31A, and a second wall part 41 having a second side edge 41A, wherein the hinge part 5 is connected to the first and second side edges. The first wall part 31 has a first connection part 36A defined between a pair of first slot parts 31a and 31b opened to the first side edge 31A and holding a connection place with the hinge part 5, and the second wall part 41 has a second connection part 46A defined between a pair of first slot parts 41a and 41b opened at the second side edge 41A and holding a connection place with the hinge part 5.
